Pumpkin Southampton Reviews

Bought a "breakfast roll" for £3.99 today. Roll was stale and crumbly, definitely not baked today. Contents - a 2 inch x 1 inch piece of streaky bacon, a cold fried egg and half a sausage. No butter. Very disappointing. I had expected them to microwave it, but they just shoved it in a paper bag. Not appetising at all, I didn't eat half of it as the roll was so dry and the filling not nice.

Sitting in the waiting room just now after just ordering a caramel latte, the lady made a drink and handed it to me without stating what drink it was (as far as I could see I was the only one who had paid and was waiting for a large drink). I sit down and a few minutes later she comes up to me with a really horrible unnecessary attitude ''excuse me you ordered a caramel latte and that's a cookie crumble' and practically snatched it from me in front of everyone there. Horrible attitude, although the man who took the piece and payment seemed lovely.

Ugh ... where do i begin? I’ve just had the most horrendous experience - absolutely shocking !! When asking for a salted caramel latte, i was not greeted with a friendly smile whatsoever by the woman in the cafe (the guy was lovely), but rather was greeted with a cold bitter stare. I noticed my coffee was not up to standards with what i withmessed in the displayed picture - i asked for whipped cream, which was not offered to me, and this short haired blonde woman had the audacity to give me a glare, followed by the tiniest amount of whipped cream i have ever received. Not only this but also the coffee was absolutely revolting, it tasted like cholera infected water???? Furthermore, the food, not only was overpriced as was everything else in ther shop, but also tasted of plastic - i did not want to pay £7 for these two pieces of depression.

Just bought one of the winter spiced tea's off the winter collection and it just tasted like water with a hint of cinnamon. Think the staff need to be taught how to make the new Christmas collection. At £3.80 very overpriced for some tasteless water.
Very disappointed

Everything is overpriced. I'm worried about the hygiene and flies were sitting on the 'fresh' pastries. Ended up getting a flapjack which is okay and didn't want to risk anything. Low staff and a smile and friendly would be nice. Good customer service goes a long way.

When someone eventually was free to take my order, they didn't ask if i wanted my food not, just wandered off and left me with a card machine (i had wanted to pay with cash). Despite me telling his colleague twice my train was arriving and o needed to get that train, no sense of urgency and i left without any of my order and £7 down. I've worked in bars and cafes before and i couldn't allow myself to be so useless.

I bought a hot drink and thought il add a bacon roll to that for the extra couple quid but no that wasn't going to happen as they had none though advertised everywhere you looked at no point did it say subject to availability. Prices are way out of an average families price range,a ginsters pasty is over 3 quid. Happy travelling

to the comment left below,

I used to work for this place between 2011 - 2012 in which time our service was ALWAYS focused towards the customer.

Our mystery shopper reports always been above 95% and most times got 10/10 in quality and service. This time we had been promised a bonus but none of us ever got it, we learnt that all the bonus talk was fake.

A few weeks later we as staff had been treated so badly we would only be allowed one bottle of water a day, even if working in the full heat of the kitchen and the tap water tasted bad and even made us feel sick.

We used to be allowed any hot drink we wanted but then some staff would be individuated out and only be alowed instant coffee.

PLEASE DO NOT BLAME THE STAFF, it is a very bad place to work for (if you are not the managers favourite).

The managers simply cant understand that a unhappy worker is not a productive worker. I left due to the lies and deceit of the managers. Was not allowed to have time of for education

Terrible service for mediocre coffee (if you get it before your train leaves!)
This has got to be the worse place you could ever get a coffee from when you are travelling. The waiting time far exceeds other coffee shops and the delay is undoubtably due to previous customers returning the wrong drink. Refund? You must be joking. The staff just stare at you if you dare to complain.

Total waiting time; 20mins
Number of people waiting before joining queue; 7
Number of staff serving; 4
Total money spent; £2.85
Drinks received; none
Refunded; no
