I bought a turntable online and after I got it, immediately realized I couldn’t use it and needed to return it. I put it together but could actually use it and told the shop right away. I sent it back at cost and after I followed up a couple of times, the company said it was in a queue of things to look at. Then more than a month went by (their terms say 30 days I think) and still nothing. I chase again, and they tell me they won’t refund me because the packaging is ripped! It had to be ripped for me to assemble it of course. They have no issue with the condition of the actual item. It was unreasonble and against their own terms and consumer law. Eventually they offered to withhold a percentage of the refund which wasn’t good enough. I already had to pay for postage back and they were deducting for the original postage to me. My credit card company sorted me out in the end and I got my refund but I don’t think these guys should be doing online sales.
