We asked Ian to re-finish a very tired Sixties Scandi coffee table for us - a bit different from his usual line of work on pieces with more age on them - and were delighted with the result, which brought it right back to its original condition. It will give us many years of pleasure, and we have recommended Ian to a number of friends who have furniture in need of a facelift with total confidence. We have several other pieces of the same vintage which are in a similar condition to the coffee table, or worse, and will be passing them over to Ian so that he can exercise his craft on them too in the next few months. There is no doubt in our minds that the results will be consistent with the first project. Ian is clearly a real craftsman who is capable of a range of restoration work well beyond what we have asked him to undertake, and it is a real pleasure to deal with him.
