Took some quality gent’s trousers, some had never been worn, to the shop.
I was told by the lady at the till, “we’re not taking any donations, we’re having a refurb in 2weeks”, “ there’s a notice on the door”.
I asked if there was anyone else that may wish to take these?
“I don’t know what other shops are doing”, Was the reply.
I drove to Barnados in Shirley who were delighted to accept these items, even though they had stopped accepting donations for the day!
No more Marie Currie, it’s Barnados all the way!!
