My tenants and I have received bad service too. Look on Companies House website and search The Flat Agency and Michael Browns Plc (or enter company registration 06858103). Click on the company name, then click on Filing History to read about its failure to honour payments against the £64,000 debt to HMRC, which has led to the voluntary agreement under the Insolvency Act being cancelled. Will HMRC will now pursue court proceedings for insolvency? Whitehead has again changed premises to another office but not informed Companies House, tenants or landlords of the new address, and the HMRC had to send court papers to his address in Rownhams eventually (again, on the Company House web pages under the company name click on Officers for these details). Just as worrying is that Whitehead directly holds tenants deposit money under the MyDeposits scheme. This changed at the end of 2015 when MyDeposits wrote to tenants and landlords saying it is no longer overseeing the money and that its protection ceases in early February 2016. Whitehead and his 2 remaining staff promised to re register deposits with another government scheme and send tenants the new deposit certificate - but this has not been done. His office refuses to reply to emails, letters and telephone calls about the deposits which is frustrating and worrying. As a last resort, my tenant and I are starting actions in the Small Claims Court (for the recovery of rent and deposit money) against this poorly managed company and its couldn't-care-less owner Andy Whitehead and the court papers will be served to his Rownhams address.   03-03-16
