Despite having visited Raphael's before and having been satisfied with the service, I feel I have been hugely let down by my latest visit there. My appointment was pushed back by around 20-30 minutes due to the hairdresser chatting and seeing another customer during my appointment. The hairdresser (who I have never had before) was often rude and insulting, insulting my appearance coming in. Despite me clearly explaining the haircut I wished for, she ignored me and gave me haircut she stated would put me 'on trend', despite it not being what I asked for. As a consequence, I find my current haircut deeply uncomfortable as it is not what I asked for and is far too short. The hairdresser was often rude and aggressive (especially in terms of her handling of my head and with razors around my ears) and stated that she felt she had improved me through the haircut she had given and that I should never let myself look as I had ever again. Finally, when paying, after I politely explained I was not on the paid loyalty scheme, she aggressively asked me to leave, which I found to be deeply uncomfortable.

As a consequence of this mortifying and uncomfortable experience, I have decided never to return to Raphael's. Despite the excellent service I have had in the past, this experience has been so uncomfortable and so upsetting that I have decided to look elsewhere.    15-06-16
