British Heart Foundation Furniture & Electrical Southampton Reviews

I can only praise and thank the wonderful staff of this shop. When we were in desperate trouble having been let down by our letting agent we went into this shop to ask them if there was any possibility they could come and collect our furniture the next day.
Despite the fact the bookings were absolutely full until the next week, after hearing our situation the pleasant and helpful member of staff (who I believe was assistant manager) promised that they would squeeze us in and pick up the furniture.
The next day, as promised our furniture was taken by the delivery drivers who were incredibly friendly despite the fact we must have been keeping them late.
I can not recommend this store enough and their willingness to go above and beyond to help has, in a very difficult week, restored my faith in people.

My sister inherited a lot of furniture in a house she bought - she contacted the BHF in Southampton. They came and looked and refused to take anything ... she said it was just a run of different reasons, too big, too small, not needed etc etc.

So she rang SCRATCH a far superior charity in Southampton that genuinely wants to help people in need.... funnily enough they took practically everything.

So SCRATCH it is all the way now.

Maybe BHF you need to take a look at your practices.

Started with such hope of donating wardrobes of a relative that had died.
Told by first driver he wouldn't take them as they hadn't been dismantled. We spent five hours doing so, rearranged another day. Nobody turned up. Rearranged another day to be told by another driver he wouldn't be able to take them as they'd been dismantled??????!!!!!!
I went into the shop, quite frustrated by now, having spent time, petrol and many phone calls during a stressful time anyway. I spoke to a Manager who really was lost for words. He promised to contact me to arrange another pick-up. Still waiting to hear ............

i, like the previous review am not happy with this service. I called to arrange collection of 2 large office desks. To cut a long story of disappointments and not collecting short, when the men actually arrived to take the furniture they said they didnt think it was worth taking office furniture and nobody liked black desks anymore anyway. They also didnt think they were good enough. Someone would have been glad of these handmade, solid wood desks. At most they only needed a bit of stain on the ends that have taken wear and tear. They will now be broken up and taken to the local tip - what a waste!

Very Disappointed with Southampton Shop, after arranging collection and waiting 3 weeks I was left a message the day before on home phone while at work to say that they where not going to collect.
After arranging the collection I had phoned on a least four occasions to give them an update of items for collection. The last occasion was only two days prior to the arranged date, at no point did anyone inform me that they would be unable to collect.
Having taken a day off to work to give them access I was not happy, when I phoned Southampton to complain they said there was nothing they could do and to phone Eastleigh Store who are not yet open.
